ఆర్టీసీ బస్సులకు గురువారం నుంచి కర్ఫ్యూ నిబంధనల నుంచి మినహాయింపు ఇస్తున్నట్లు సిఎం శ్రీ కె. చంద్రశేఖర్ రావు ప్రకటించారు. జిల్లాల నుంచి వచ్చే బస్సులు జెబిఎస్ తో పాటు, ఇమ్లీబన్ లో కూడా ఆగేందుకు అవకాశం ఇస్తున్నట్లు చెప్పారు. ప్రగతి భవన్ లో ఇవాళ ఆర్టీసీపై ముఖ్యమంత్రి సమీక్ష నిర్వహించారు. రవాణా శాఖ శ్రీ మంత్రి పువ్వాడ అజయ్ కుమార్, ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ సోమేశ్ కుమార్, ఆర్టీసీ ఎండి శ్రీ సునిల్ శర్మ, ఇడి శ్రీ యాదగిరి తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆర్టీసీ అధికారులు రాష్ట్రంలో బస్సు సర్వీసులు పునరుద్ధరించిన తర్వాత పరిస్థితిని వివరించారు.
‘‘ఇటీవల జరిగిన పరిణామాల వల్ల ఆర్టీసీ బాగా నష్టపోయింది. సమస్య కొలిక్కి వచ్చి గాడిన పడుతున్న తరుణంలో కరోనా వచ్చింది. కొద్ది రోజుల క్రితం ఆర్టీసీ బస్సులు నడవడానికి అవకాశం ఇచ్చినప్పటికీ రాత్రిపూట కర్ఫ్యూ కారణంగా పూర్తి స్థాయిలో బస్సులు తిరగడం లేదు. దీంతో ఆర్టీసీకి ఆదాయం రావడం లేదు. రోజుకు 11 నుంచి 12 కోట్ల వరకు ఆదాయం రావాలి. ఎండాకాలం, పెళ్లిళ్ల సీజన్ లో 15 కోట్ల వరకు ఆదాయం వస్తుంది. కానీ, ఇప్పుడు కేవలం 2 కోట్ల రూపాయలు మాత్రమే వస్తుంది. కేవలం 39 శాతం ఆక్యుపెన్సీ మాత్రమే వస్తున్నది. దీనికి ప్రధాన కారణం రాత్రి పూట విధించే కర్ఫ్యూ. ఇతర ప్రాంతాలకు వెళ్లే వారు రాత్రి 7 గంటల లోపు గమ్యస్థానాలకు చేరుకోవడం సాధ్యం కావడం లేదు. ఎండాకాలం కావడంతో ప్రజలు అయితే ఉదయం, లేదంటే సాయంత్రం మాత్రమే ప్రయాణం చేయడానికి మొగ్గు చూపుతున్నారు. పగటి పూట మాత్రమే బస్సులు నడపడం వల్ల ప్రజలకు ఉపయోగపడడం లేదు’’ అని ఆర్టీసీ అధికారులు చెప్పారు. దీంతో ప్రభుత్వం ఆర్టీసీ బస్సుల విషయంలో కొన్ని నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకున్నది.
• ఆర్టీసీ బస్సులకు కర్ఫ్యూ నిబంధనల నుంచి మినహాయింపులు ఉంటాయి.
• కర్ఫ్యూ సమయంలో కూడా ఆర్టీసీ బస్సులు గమ్యస్థానం చేరడానికి అవకాశం ఇస్తారు. బస్టాండ్లలో ట్యాక్సీలు, ఆటోలు తదితర రవాణా వాహనాలను అనుమతి ఇస్తారు. బస్ టికెట్ కలిగిన ప్రయాణీకులు కర్ఫ్యూ సమయంలో కూడా ప్రైవేటు వాహనాల్లో తమ ఇళ్లకు చేరుకోవడానికి పోలీసులు అభ్యంతర పెట్టరు.
• జిల్లాల నుంచి వచ్చే బస్సులన్నీ జెబిఎస్ లోనే ప్రయాణీకులను దింపుతున్నాయి. గురువారం నుంచి ఇమ్లీబన్ కు కూడా బస్సులు వచ్చిపోతాయి.
• హైదరాబాద్ నగరంలో కరోనా పాజిటివ్ కేసుల సంఖ్య ఎక్కువగా ఉంది కాబట్టి, మరికొన్ని రోజుల వరకు నగరంలో సిటీ బస్సులు నడపరు.
• అంతర్రాష్ట్ర బస్సులను కూడా మరికొన్ని రోజుల పాటు నడపరు.
Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao declared that the RTC buses are getting exempted from the Curfew restrictions from Thursday. He said buses coming from the districts to reach JBS Bust station and also at the Imliban.
The CM held a review meeting on the RTC at Pragathi Bhavan here on Wednesday. Transport Minister Sri Puvvada Ajay Kumar, Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar, RTC MD Sri Sunil Sharma, ED Sri Yadagiri and others participated. On this occasion, the RTC officials explained the situation following the revival of the RTC bus services.
“The RTC has incurred heavy losses due to the recent developments. When the problem was solved and when the situation is getting back to normal, the Corona issue came up. Though permission is given for some RTC buses to ply, due to the Curfew imposition, the buses are not playing to their full capacity. Every day RTC should get Rs 11 to 12 Crore income. During the summer and marriage season, the income should be Rs 15 Crore per day. Now the income if only Rs 2 crore per day. There is only 39 percent occupancy in the buses. The main reason for this low occupancy was the imposition of curfew in the nights. Passengers going to their destinations were not been able to reach before 7 PM. Since this is peak summer, passengers would like to travel either in the morning or during the nights. Since buses are plying only during the daytime, it is not proved useful to people,” the RTC officials explained.
With this, the state government has taken a certain decision on the RTC:
• RTC buses are exempted from the Curfew restrictions
• RTC buses will be allowed to reach their destination during the curfew times. Taxies, Autos and other passenger vehicles will be allowed at the bust stands. Police will not stop passengers from having the bus ticket to travel by their own cars.
• Buses coming from districts are leaving passengers at the JBS. From Thursday, buses will also drop passengers at the Imliban.
• Since Hyderabad city has a large number of Corona cases, city buses will not be in service for some more days.
